Lymphoma Cancer

Lymphoma cancer is a type of cancer that can not be identified early. This is because, the symptoms of lymphoma cancer are almost the same as other disease.

What is Lymphoma?

Lymphoma or lymph is a linkage system consisting of lymph nodes in the neck, lower extremities,  thighs, chest and abdomen. The lymphatic system work to remove excess fluid from the body and also build the body’s immune system.

When white blood cells are abnormal and the body’s immune system decreases, it will cause extraordinary cell collection and swelling of the lymph nodes. This situation can spread to other organs around the lymph, including brain, intestine, bone, lung, and bone narrow.

There are two types of lymphoma cancer :

1. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (HL) or Hodgkin Disease (HD)

  • This cancer rarely affects children less than 5 years. It’s easy to attack teenagers.
  • This type of cancer is confirmed by the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells in the lymph nodes or involved organs.
  • This malignant lymphocyte cell growth  is also seen in the leukemia (ALL) blood cancer which sometimes causes difficulty distinguishing between Lymphoma and Leukemia in children.

Other symptoms of both types of lymphoma may includes :

  • Lymph nodes grow up without pain
  • Thymus lymph in the chest enlarges and suppresses the airways to disturb the respiratory system such as shortness of breath, snoring and difficult breathing.
  •  Difficult swallowing.
  • Constipation, nausea and vomiting due to the lymph nodes in the abdomen.
  • Fever, lose weight without cause or sweat midnight.
  • Experiencing skin irritation.

If you experience some of the symptoms mentioned above, please consult your doctor immediately for an accurate diagnosis. Only experts can diagnose lymphoma symptoms properly.
