Acanthosis nigricans is a condition in which the skin becomes darker, thicker, and like velvet on the body part wrinkled and folded like the armpits, groin and neck. There is no specific treatment for acanthosis nigricans. So it can cause a person with this condition is very alarming appearance of their skin.
