Acanthosis Nigricans


Acanthosis nigricans is a condition in which the skin becomes darker, thicker, and like velvet on the body part wrinkled and folded like the armpits, groin and neck. There is no specific treatment for acanthosis nigricans. So it can cause a person with this condition is very alarming appearance of their skin. As for some of the treatment options that are available only to help relieve the affected skin areas.

Acanthosis nigricans may disappear gradually, as does the treatment of several conditions that could be the cause, such as obesity or diabetes.

What causes acanthosis nigricans?

Patients may be prescribed a cream or lotion to help relieve the affected area. Some medications that can relieve acanthosis nigricans:
